The St. Charles County Senior Fair has added some more valuable services for area seniors thanks to the St. Charles County Department of Public Health. Representatives from the County’s Health Department will offer the following vaccines and health screenings during the 2021 Senior Fair on the morning of Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021:
- COVID-19 vaccine (anyone eligible on Oct. 2 for a vaccine or an immunocompromised third dose)
- Hepatitis A vaccine
- Flu vaccine
- Screenings for blood pressure, height, weight, and blood glucose
The 2021 Senior Fair will take place at the St. Peters Cultural Arts Centre from 9 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Oct. 2. Bring your health insurance card if you are interested in the flu vaccine. The Hepatitis A and COVID-19 vaccines as well as the health screenings will be provided free of charge. The Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna COVID vaccines will be available. (The County Health Department is working to also offer the one-dose Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) product but cannot yet confirm its availability.)
The public is invited to attend the Senior Fair to find helpful information and resources for area seniors. Plenty of vendors will be on hand to talk to older adults about a wide variety of topics.
The event is free, and family members are encouraged to attend.
Raffles prizes and light refreshments also are planned at the Senior Fair, which is hosted by the St. Peters Senior Advisory Committee.
The Cultural Arts Centre is located in the west wing of St. Peters City Hall, One St. Peters Centre Blvd. Visit www.stpetersmo.net for more information.
Vendor spots are still available at the Senior Fair. Contact MaryPat Harms at email@example.com to learn more.
