The St. Peters Cultural Arts Centre will host six art shows and competitions in 2020. Amateur and professional artists are welcome to enter their work in an upcoming show.
People do not have to be a Cultural Arts Centre member or a resident of St. Peters to enter in a show or competition.
The first art show of the new year will be “Songbird,” which will be on display Jan. 9-March 1, 2020. Artists should submit work that is inspired by a favorite song, instrument or bird. Receiving for “Songbird” will be from 9 a.m.-8:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6, at the Cultural Arts Centre. A reception will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, at the Cultural Arts Centre.
Cultural Arts Centre members can submit up to four pieces of artwork for $15. Non-members can submit up to three pieces for $20.
Cash prizes are awarded in each category (drawing/painting, photography and mixed media), including Best of Show ($100), first place ($50), second place ($25) and third place ($15), as well as Honorable Mention ribbons.
All artists are also encouraged to sell their artwork while it’s on display (the Cultural Arts Centre retains a 25 percent commission).

- End of the Road: Aug. 20-Oct. 18, 2020
- $100 or Less Art Show and Sale: Oct. 22-Dec. 13, 2020
