Register in Advance for 2019 St. Peters Summer Camps

March 11, 2019

Kids can be themselves at St. Peters Summer Camps, because there’s a summer camp for every kid! Whether your child is artistic, athletic, crafty, adventurous, or all of the above—St. Peters Summer Camps cater to all kinds of kids with weekly Art Experience Camps, Rec-Plex Activities Camps and Sports Camps!

Registration is now open for 2019 St. Peters Summer Camps. St. Peters residents and Rec-Plex members receive special discounted rates. Advance registration is required for each weekly camp, which begin May 28 with Rec-Plex Activities Camps and Rec-Plex Sports Camps. The Cultural Arts Centre’s Art Experience Camps begin June 3.

Art Experience Camps allow kids to unleash their creativity, with options of themed drawing/painting camps (ages 6-12), clay camps (ages 8-12) and a fencing camp (ages 10-16). During eight weekly themed drawing and painting camps, campers will get to explore a variety of art media and technique, including “plein air” or “open air” painting outside, demonstrations by featured artists and a special art camp exhibit every Friday. Four weeks of clay camps will provide campers a chance each week to work with their own brick of air-dry firing clay and use the pottery wheel. Fencing will be available the week of June 24.

Let your kids “unplug” and just have fun being kids this summer at Rec-Plex Activities and Sports Camps! Every week, Rec-Plex campers (in both Activities and Sports Camps) will get to enjoy swimming, ice skating, games and activities inside in the gym and outside at the park and playground, as well as go on a weekly field trip (included in camp fees) to Kokomo Joe’s, Great Skate, the bowling alley, the movies and more. Activities Camps are for ages 6-12. Sports camps are for ages 7-12 and include options for baseball, basketball, cheer, dance, flag football, pickleball, soccer, volleyball and NEW this year—dodgeball! Plus, check out specialty ice camp offerings for Rink Rats Summer Hockey Camp and Summer Figure Skating Camp. All Rec-Plex campers also get a T-shirt that they will wear on the weekly field trip.

All St. Peters Summer Camps are held from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, with before care (7-9 a.m.) and after care (3:30-6 p.m.) available for additional fees.

First-time registration for all 2019 summer camps must be completed in person at the St. Peters Rec-Plex, located at 5200 Mexico Road. Download the 2019 registration packet and fill out all of the required forms ahead of time at
