Our "Tie It On" program has been such a success for requesting additional blue bags that effective January 1st 2009, we have deactivated our web site blue bag request system.To improve delivery speed for our residents, it is no longer necessary to sign up online for more blue bags. Now all you have to do is tie an empty blue bag on the handle of your trash cart. Roll the cart out and place curbside on any of your collection days. Your trash truck driver will see the blue bag tied on the cart and leave a fresh roll of blue bags on your driveway. Just remember to remove the blue bag from the cart handle once the blue bags have been delivered. This new method provides same day delivery and reduces resident costs by providing bags only to those residents actively recycling. Every resident will still receive two large rolls of bags each year. If you have a surplus of bags then just return them to City Hall or Recycle City. Thank you for recycling.Blue Bags are also available for pick up from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. at Recycle City or during normal business hours at City Hall, the REC-PLEX, and the Community & Arts Center.
