$40 Million, No-Tax-Increase Issue -- Aug. 3, 2010 Ballot

Water is an essential part of life. And, yet, it can cause tremendous damage. The fact is that storm water, if left unmanaged, can cost our entire community a great amount. St. Peters, like many other communities, must deal with growing storm water issues related to:

Flooding • Erosion • Pollution • Federal Guidelines

The City of St. Peters wants to address these important issues in a fair, efficient and swift manner. To do this, St. Peters placed a $40 million no-tax-increase bond issue on the Aug. 3, 2010, ballot. If passed, the bond issue would pay to reconstruct storm water detention basins, address creek erosion, clean our waterways and meet stricter federal guidelines. The bond issue would allow St. Peters to fix problems now before they get more expensive.
